Itinerary of the 4-day tour from Agadir to Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Agadir to Ouarzazate:

On the first day of our 4-day desert tour from Agadir, we will drive to Ouarzazate. Thus, we will pass by some interesting Berber villages in the Sous Valley. We visit Taroudant, or “Little Marrakech,” as it is called. The Saadian dynasty built the town as a base to attack the Portuguese on the Atlantic Coast. The town is also home to traditional crafts such as jewelry and carpets. You will discover old Medina and pass by Taliouine and Taznakht. From here, we arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest Kasbah in Morocco.

Thereafter, we drive to Ouarzazate town. It is an ideal site for cinema, where you will visit Atlas Studios. Many movies are filmed in this region, such as Gladiator and The Game of Thrones. After visiting the Kasbah and the Atlas Studios, we will have a night in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert:

After breakfast, we continue our 4-day tour from Agadir towards Todra Gorges. We will drive via the oasis of Skoura and Rose Valley and stop in Todra Gorges. Here, we stop for lunch and enjoy the canyon with its high rocks. And then we drive to Touroug, Erfoud, and Merzouga. There, you ride camels and cross the dunes of the Erg Chebbi to spend a night in the camp. Locals will entertain you with music around the fire, so enjoy your night.

Day 3: Merzouga to Agdz:

You will experience a wonderful sunrise view early this morning. After that, you have a shower and breakfast, then drive to Rissani. In this town, you walk through a traditional market that smells of different species and offers traditional crafts. Thereafter, we drive via the Draa Valley, passing by Alnif, Tazarrine, and Nkob. Day 4: Agdez to Agadir:

After breakfast, we drive to the Draa River, which is the longest river in Morocco. Further, we drive via Taznakht and visit the capital city of Saffron, Taliouine.
