Excursions Todra Gorge
Before arriving at the Todra Gorges, at the exit of Tinghir you will find a spring called “the spring of the sacred fish”. Leave your vehicle to walk up the gorges that reach in some places 300 meters high. A few tens of minutes of walking will be enough to reach the heart of the gorges.
If you like hiking, take a mule track that goes up above the gorges, offering beautiful views of Tinghir and the palm grove. From there, another path leads down to the village of Tizgui, completing a hike of about 3 hours. For this excursion it is advisable to take a guide.
If you continue the path at the bottom of the gorge, you will reach the starting point of the hikes and climbs. It is a very popular place for climbers with its 300 meter high walls. In the surroundings, you will be able to go to the Dadès and the valley of the roses and to make a superb excursion.
After the passage of the gorges, the Todra valley goes up towards the summits of the High Atlas by a succession of passages more beautiful the ones than the others. If you have a 4X4 vehicle, you can climb by a track to Tamtatouchte. From there, a beautiful excursion in 4X4 will take you to the heart of the Dades valley. Continue in the direction of M’Semrir, you will cross a mineral landscape until the pass of Aguerd N’Zegzdoun (2600m). From the valley of M’semrir and the village of Agoudal, you can also go north towards the village of Imilchil, towards the high nomadic plateaus (2200m) and the valley of Anergui. It takes about 6 hours of driving, but you will cross the Atlas in its wildest part. Discover by the track the gorges of the Assif Melloul separating the High Atlas from the Middle Atlas. And finish your trip in an ecolodge in front of the Anergui cirque
