Along the route, you can stop for photographs, panoramic viewpoints, refreshments, lunch, and short visits whenever the daily schedule allows. Departure times can also be adjusted to suit your group, especially on the days spent exploring Fes and Merzouga.
Because some parts of the journey involve long driving distances, major route changes may require additional time or cost. Please share any special requests before booking so they can be included in your itinerary and quotation.
The best times to travel are spring, from March to May, and autumn, from September to November. During these months, temperatures are usually comfortable for exploring Chefchaouen and Fes, crossing the mountains, walking through Todra Gorge, and enjoying camel trekking in Merzouga.
Winter, from December to February, is also a good option. Daytime weather is often pleasant, but mornings, evenings, and nights in the Middle Atlas, High Atlas, and Sahara can be cold. Warm layers are recommended.
The tour is available in summer, from June to August, although temperatures in Merzouga and southern Morocco can be very high. During hotter months, departure times and outdoor activities may be adjusted, with the camel trek scheduled closer to sunset.
Weather can vary considerably between Tangier, the mountain regions, and the Sahara. Your driver may make small timing adjustments to keep the journey comfortable and safe.
Your main luggage can remain in the vehicle while you take a smaller bag to the desert camp. During winter, bring extra warm layers because nights in Merzouga and the mountain regions can be cold.
