Itinerary for a 6-Day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech

Day 1: Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes – Fes

Our 6-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech starts at 8:00 a.m. on the first day. First, we’ll pick you up and take you to the Hassan 2 Mosque to find out more about it. After that, we’ll go straight to Rabat, which is the current city of Morocco. When we get to Rabat, we’ll go to the Hassan Tower, which is the tower of a mosque that isn’t full yet. Following that, we would spend more time checking out different parts of Rabat, based on how much time we had left.

Then we’ll hit the road again, this time going to Meknes, which is the home of the Ismailis. Before we go, we’ll stop at Volubilis, which is where the Romans lived. First we’ll visit the Qara Prison when we get to Meknes. Then we’ll check out Lhdim Square and the area around it.

Finally, we’ll go to Fes in the evening, where we’ll have dinner and rest before going to see the city the next day.

Day 2: Full day in Fes

After breakfast at the hotel or riad, we will start the day by getting to know Fes. The culture center has been Morocco’s capital for more than 400 years. Our 6-day tour from Casablanca will show you the best of the city. Starting with Fatima Al Fihri’s building of the oldest university in the world.

After that, you will go to the Chouara Tannery to learn about the way that tanning was done in the past. Of course, that place will smell a little bad because of the leather smell. The King’s Palace is also on the list. It is without a doubt one of the nicest and most beautiful homes that the Moroccan king has. The seven metal gates on the land are really beautiful! Next, the trip will take you into Fes’s old Madina and its narrow streets.

There are, of course, many more places and things to see that we haven’t listed, but you will have the chance to see them. You’ll have lunch, dinner, and a night’s stay in Fes.

Day 3: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga desert

The best part of our Morocco desert trips is the third day of our 6-day tour from Casablanca, which starts in Casablanca. Today will be the longest day of driving, but we’ll cut the trip short by stopping a few times. First, we’ll stop in Ifrane, which is known as “Little Switzerland” in Morocco. From here, we’ll walk to the Atlas Lion Statue. Afterward, we’ll go to Azrou’s cedar forest. Bring some food for the Barbary Macaque because this place is known for being a safe haven for them.

We keep going on our trip, this time through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains until we reach Zaida. Before going to Midelt, which is not far away, we often stop here for lunch. After that, we’ll pass through the towns of Errachidia and Erfoud and stop to see the Zizvalley and Errachidia’s dam.

We will finally get to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. The first thing we do is ride a camel across the dunes, which is a beautiful way to see the area. When you get to camp, drop off your bags and check in. Then, if you get there early, climb the dunes to watch the sunset. When night comes, you’ll be given a delicious meal and asked to sit around the campfire and listen to some Berber music while the stars shine.

Day 4: Merzouga - Tinghir - Boumalne Dades

Now you can wake up early to see the beautiful dawn. If you booked a fancy tent, take a shower and eat breakfast when you get back. After that, you’ll ride a camel back to where we began yesterday. We’ll go back to the road and head toward Boumalne Dades this time. We will first stop at Rissani, which is the capital of the Tafilalt area. Also, this is where Morocco’s present ruling family got their start. There are some strange things to see here, like a place to park donkeys and a normal souk.

After that, we’ll get back on the road and go by Tinjedad and Tinghir. The Grand Canyons of Toudra Gorges will be our stop. After that, we’ll go straight to Gorges Dades, where we’ll spend the night, have dinner, and spend the evening.

Day 5: Boumalne Dades - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we’ll leave Boumalne Dades and head to the red city. First, we’ll stop in Ouarzazate, also known as “Ouallywood” in English, which is one of the most important places in the southeast of Morocco and has an international airport. Additionally, it is a common spot in Africa for shooting movies and TV shows. Next, we’ll visit the interesting town of Ait Benhaddou. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best example of a Berber house made of clay in Morocco. High walls and big towers are two of the main names that can be used to describe this small kingdom. You will need to cross a small river and then climb a bit to see more of the area and see it from different angles.

As part of our 6-day tour that starts in Casablanca, we continue our journey through the High Atlas mountains, this time going through the Tizi Ntichka Pass. This one is famous for its turns and that view (2260m above sea level), where we often stop to relax and take pictures. Since the path is about 200 kilometers long, we will stop at a number of beautiful spots along the way. The pass is full of Berber towns. As soon as we got to Marrakech, we would check out Jamaa El-Fna if we had time.

That was a great six-day holiday that the Unique Desert Tour gave me. During the whole thing, Hassan was in charge and made sure to help and pay attention to everyone in the group. We visited many places, such as the Sahara Desert, where we rode camels, lived in a nomads camp, and spent one night in a great hotel in the middle of nowhere. We left Casablanca and traveled for 6 days. Besides the desert, we stopped at many other places. We went to both Marrakech and Fes. I recommend this group for trips to Morocco without a doubt!

This tour was a nice treat! There were five of us women, and we had no idea what to expect. Nothing went wrong, we were always pampered, and nothing was ever shared with anyone else.
Havesan, our guide and driver, made all the difference! He speaks English, Spanish, and many other languages very well. His company made the trip fun and easy, and we felt very safe with him. It was a big worry before we left. Thank you, Hamid and Hassan, for a wonderful holiday.

I went to Morocco by myself. I was first worried because we had learned a lot about how women should behave in Morocco. The drivers picked me up at the airport, and all of the guides were very nice and funny. I learned to speak Spanish, French, Japanese, and, of course, Berber very well.

Their plan is great; in just 6 days and 5 nights, I saw the whole country and slept in the desert. The places we stayed were great, and they gave us free meals and lunches. We ate lunch at a bunch of great places that were all clean and served classic food. It was also a plus that I didn't spend too much of the tour money.

If you go to the desert at night, make sure you bring warm clothes because it gets very cold there. If your camera has an automatic lens (one that goes out when you call it), be careful in the desert. The sand messed up mine.

The view is beautiful, but the dromedary is a little awkward.
The trip was fun, and I'd do it again over and over again!

Great Time!

We were only in Morocco for six days and five nights. Twelve of us were in the group, and Hamid and his staff were always with us! After booking the plane tickets, a friend who had been to Morocco before suggested the company, saying that he had a great time on holiday and that they provided great service. Then we joined the group and saw that they are a serious and skilled bunch. We sent Youssef an email, and he made the perfect holiday plan for us! In a short amount of time, we went to many places, saw beautiful scenery, and had many new experiences. I'm sure we could only see so much because they planned our tours so well that we wanted to see everything.

I fell in love with the desert, the people who lived in the mountains, and how simple they were. Without a doubt, it was a great trip. We saw Marrakech, Ait Ben Hadou, Ouarzazate, Dades, The Gorges of Todra, and the Merzouga Desert. It was easy to get from and to Casablanca when we were traveling in Morocco.

Marrakech

The city has both old and new things, so guests will have a great time there. There are lots of bright colors, foreign smells, carriage rides, and beautiful buildings all in one area of Marrakech.

On the other side, there are wide streets, fancy shops, and places to celebrate. In Marrakech, two places that people like to visit are the Majorelle Garden and the Koutoubia Mosque.

And there’s the beautiful Jamaa El Fna plaza. It is the biggest square in Morocco, and it’s an old way for Moroccans to get together. You can see a lot of different things there, like snake charmers and monkey shows. You can either go upstairs to a café and enjoy the light of the Moroccan city, or you can just walk around and look at all the little shops.

Fes

This location, which has over thirteen centuries of history, is another alternative for travelers. The architecture draws attention, and there are several attractions to choose from, such as a big and renowned medina and the gorgeous madrassas, which are titles given to Islamic study institutes. Not to mention the world’s oldest university, Al Qarawiyin, which was founded in 859 by Fatima Al Fihri.

Rabat

The city of Morocco is also a great place to see. A lot of people come to the city to visit the beach, but there are also many green spaces for people who want to be closer to nature.

AIt Benhaddou

It was built by Thami El Glaoui, who was one of Morocco’s richest bashas and was also known as the Lord of the Atlas. We are proud to have it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. It used to be the main place where camel trains going to Tombouctou stopped.

The village is no longer inhabited by any people. People live on the other side of the river from the Ksar, where the bank faces the castle. Also, it has only been used by tourists and for filming movies and TV shows for the past few years. This is where we can talk about the American-British thriller film “The Gladiator.”

Merzouga, the highlight of our 6 days tour from Casablanca

Without a doubt, the best thing about every trip to Morocco. The town of Merzouga is in the southeast of Morocco, next to the Erg Chebbi dunes. People who live in the area have two different ideas about why it’s called that. First, some say the name comes from an old Merzoug family that lived in the area. Others, though, say that the name of the village comes from the rich land, which is called Marzouka in Arabic.

Another interesting story says that the dunes of Erg Chebbi got to be here. People say that there was a group that lived where the beaches are now. They were living a nice and successful life. The food started to make them fight one day after they dug in. Because they were bad, God made a huge storm and buried them in the mounds you see today. But this story is still just a myth, even though some people, especially older people, still believe it.

The Erg Chebbi dunes are centered around the town of Merzouga. Some of the best things to do are there, like going on a research trip and exploring the area around it. Watch the dunes’ colors change as you ride horses across them. People who want to get a thrill can also take a bike or buggy and drive on the hills.
